Jackson Town Council on June 2 unanimously approved the transfer of a restaurant liquor license for premises at 850 West Broadway (Suite A).
Lindsay Linneman of Internal Services told council the Wyoming Liquor Division had certified the transfer application is complete and that a transfer saves the applicant the higher fee for a new restaurant license. Linneman said state statute allows transfers of qualified license types and that the council’s review uses the same factors as for a new license.
Councilwoman Beeman moved to approve the transfer “having considered Wyoming statute 12‑4‑104(b) statutory factors for this application,” and set two conditions: (1) the town clerk’s office shall not issue the license until all required town licenses and permits have been obtained; and (2) any additional minor corrections deemed necessary by staff and the Wyoming Liquor Division must be completed. Council members expressed appreciation for staff review and care in the process; the motion passed unanimously.
The applicant was not present but was not required to attend, staff said. There was no public comment or protest during the public hearing.
The council’s action delegates to the town clerk the administrative step of issuing the license after confirmation that the specified conditions and state requirements have been met.
