The Leesburg City Planning Commission voted to postpone two agenda items tied to the Dominion Apartments project on Oct. 23, 2025, after the applicant requested additional time to revise the site plan and address parking comments.
Staff said the applicant requested the hold to allow revisions in response to feedback from the Florida Department of Transportation and to meet the City of Leesburg’s parking requirements. Planning and Zoning Director Dan Miller told the commission the applicant “requested to place this on hold to the November meeting to allow them time to revise the site plan based on feedback from FDOT and to make site plan revisions based on the parking requirements of the City of Leesburg.”
The two items were listed on the agenda as public hearing case SSCP-25-1269 (small-scale comprehensive plan amendment) and PUD-25-1270 (planned unit development zoning). Commissioners moved and seconded to postpone each item; the commission recorded that the motions carried. The PUD item was specifically postponed to the November 10, 2025 meeting; the small-scale comprehensive plan item was postponed to the November meeting (date not specified in the record).
Postponement will keep the items on the Planning Commission’s agenda until the applicant returns with revised materials. Staff reminded the public that tentative city commission hearing dates listed on the Planning Commission agenda are subject to change and advised interested parties to check with planning staff or the city clerk for final dates.
The commission took no other action on the Dominion Apartments items at the Oct. 23 meeting.
