Golf Manor Village's executive committee met Oct. 20 and approved minutes from September meetings while moving forward on a planned website redesign, considering audio-visual upgrades for the municipal hall and discussing onboarding materials and a management audit. No final action was taken on the pay-equity review, and a proposed background-check policy was removed from the agenda.
Committee members said the website work has advanced to vendor selection after a call for proposals; the committee recommended one vendor to the finance committee for approval and expects the new site and related accessibility and usability improvements to be implemented in 2026 if the full council and finance committee approve the recommendation. "We might get a website as soon as, like, early 2026," Speaker 1, an executive committee member presiding in the chair's absence, said.
Members described a series of community-engagement steps that informed the site plan, including a resident survey and a short working group. "We probably got, like, maybe 39 hits or something like that," Speaker 1 said of the survey responses, and the committee said four residents volunteered to serve on the small web-development working group.
The committee also discussed audio-visual upgrades for the municipal hall that could be bundled with the website work or handled as a separate capital purchase. Committee members said quoted equipment would replace a setup that currently requires a specific computer to connect and would allow simpler connections such as a USB-C plug. One member noted the upgrades could support court presentations and automated display of reading-rights text rather than staff reading them aloud during proceedings.
No substantive update was available on the pay-equity assessment. Committee members said staff and the member responsible for that item had missed the initial pay-equity sessions and that the committee would await further information when it becomes available.
The committee heard that a management audit and an onboarding/collaborative packet are in progress; the solicitor plans to present a packet to the next council meeting so new council members can receive briefing materials. Speaker 5, an executive committee member, said the solicitor "would like this to be his legacy," referring to preparing the onboarding materials.
A background-check policy listed on the agenda was removed after a committee member said they had not received the policy. The committee set its next executive committee meeting for Monday, Nov. 10, at 7 p.m.
Votes at a glance: the committee approved adopting the agenda and approved meeting minutes from Sept. 8 and Sept. 16; the meeting adjourned by motion.
