Council entertained a motion to adopt the resolution; the motion carried on a voice vote with no recorded opposition. The action authorizes the city manager to execute any documents necessary to join the settlement process under the Texas term sheet.
No dollar allocation to the city was specified at the meeting; staff recommended participation and told council the resolution is one step among several in the litigation and settlement process.
