Willow Landing Phase 5 plat approved after reduction to 33 lots; utility easement added

The Wilson County Planning Commission approved the final plat for Willow Landing Phase 5 July 18 after the developer amended the submission from 48 lots to 33 to match the approved preliminary plat and phasing plan.
Planning staff said the revision from 48 lots down to 33 was necessary to conform to the previously approved phasing lines. Staff also said the developer worked with West Wilson Utility to secure an easement for a waterline connection out to Cooks Road, which resolved the utility’s concerns and avoided a requirement for a new rephasing application.
Matt Lawrence of Reagan Smith, representing the developer, told the commission the changes were made to match the approved preliminary plat and that West Wilson Utility agreed to an easement to serve the phase. Planning staff recommended approval with technical corrections and the commission approved the plat on a voice vote.
Staff said the changes were discussed in detail with the developer and utility to avoid the need to return with another rephasing plan.
