The council voted unanimously on several items during the meeting called to order by Council President Nick Sturgeon. Most votes were 4-0 in favor.

Public hearings opened and closed
The council opened and then closed public hearings with no public speakers on four first-reading budget ordinances for 2026: the town general budget (Ordinance 14-13), the Speedway School Town budget (Ordinance 14-14), the Speedway Public Library budget (Ordinance 14-15) and the Speedway Public Transportation budget (Ordinance 14-16).
