Kyle Markley, Town of Speedway economic development director, told the Redevelopment Commission on Aug. 25 that construction and planning work in town is advancing and that staff have secured grant funding for a corridor study.
Markley said the Al Unser Senior roundabout construction is “about a week ahead of schedule” after recent concrete work and that the town has ordered or will obtain metal-panel images for the site. He reported that the town received a planning grant for a Sixteenth Street Corridor study: the town will contribute $25,000 and receive $100,000 in grant funds to complete the study. Markley said the town expects to have a contractor under contract by the end of the year to carry out the work.
