Plaistow selectmen approve amended highway safety grant and pass consent agenda

At their July 28 meeting, the Plaistow Board of Selectmen voted unanimously to accept an amended Police Department Highway Safety Grant and to approve a multi-item consent agenda.
The board approved an amendment that increased the total grant available to the police department from $8,500 to $14,665. Town staff said the state required formal recognition of the amendment. A Selectman moved to approve the amended grant terms as presented, a second was recorded and the board voted 3–0–0 in favor.
The consent agenda also passed by a 3–0–0 vote and included: the accounts payable manifest for the week of July 24, 2025; draft Board of Selectmen minutes for July 14, 2025; three annual salvage-yard license renewals; deeds for four burial lots; a 2024 abatement settlement; and an additional warrant for water-consumption fees.
Selectmen did not extend debate on either item and accepted the staff recommendations. The board's unanimous votes were recorded as 3–0–0.
