The Cedar Hill City Council proclaimed July 2025 as Independent Retailer Month and honored B & B Bicycles as the first local recipient of the recognition.

A representative of B & B Bicycles accepted the proclamation and told the council the business had been serving Cedar Hill since 2002 and described moving from Houston and Dallas before finding a “forever home” in Cedar Hill. The representative thanked customers for loyalty and thanked the council for support.
Council and the destination advisory and economic development boards were credited in the proclamation for launching the recognition. The council did not attach funding or policy directives to the proclamation; it was presented as ceremonial recognition.
