The Board of County Commissioners approved a contract with R and D Sweeping and Asphalt Repair LC for the 2025 pathways sealing and asphalt repair project in the amount of $186,733.82. The motion was seconded and carried unanimously.
Staff said the work covers roughly 10 miles of routine pathway sealing and intermittent closures; crews will “hop around” to complete sections as needed and the work is expected to take about a week to 10 days in each work area. The county budgeted about $190,000 for the project; staff said the project was put out to bid but received a single applicant, which staff described as typical. Staff also said the contractor is based in Rock Springs and has worked for the county for many years.
Public comment on the item was not recorded. The board approved the contract without amendment and asked staff to post signage and do outreach during closures.
