A county official reported the park features a universal splash pad, picnic stations, a walking trail, fitness stations, upgrades to the soccer field and a new pavilion, and improvements to a Centro Cultural and technology center. The official said a few minor items remain, including localized ponding that will be addressed.
Commissioners praised the renovation and invited the public to the ribbon cutting. Commissioner Lopez moved to approve acceptance of substantial completion; the motion was seconded by Commissioner Benavides and carried by voice vote.
Commissioners asked staff to include photographs in future substantial-completion backup materials so commissioners who do not visit the site can see completed work. Staff agreed to provide photos when reporting substantial completion.
