Council members said 4X Engineering (formerly CRS Engineering) provided an updated estimate dated July 18 that lists USDA Rural Development project funds at $364,674.02; an engineering fee of $14,000; construction management of $19,956.32; and a well-vault construction estimate shown in the meeting materials that leaves a remaining funds balance of $54,803.70. Staff said they are waiting for final confirmation from USDA before proceeding to contract phases.
The council briefly discussed timing and USDA staffing; staff noted delays are administrative and that the town is awaiting USDA sign-off to move forward with procurement and construction management.
