The board unanimously approved a motion to hold a work session prior to the next regular meeting to continue review.
The board amended the published agenda at the meeting to add a brief closed session for commissioners and the county attorney on a personnel matter; the board later entered and exited that closed session. No substantive details of the closed session were disclosed in open session.
Warren Perry, the county’s HR director and assistant county manager, introduced Samantha Chapel as a new accounts payable assistant; Chapel thanked the board. County Manager Scott Sauer told the board he had no report.
Clerk Draper also reviewed vacancies on county advisory boards: the clerk reported six vacancies for the Nursing Home Advisory Committee, five vacancies on the Opioid Prevention group, five vacancies on the Economic Improvement Council, two on the Planning Board, and several other openings; the clerk said vacancy postings appear on the county website.
