Lakewood Planning Commission elects Buckley chair; Lewinis vice chair; O'Neil secretary

The Lakewood Planning Commission elected Commissioner Buckley as chair, Commissioner Greg Lewinis as vice chair and Commissioner Jenny O'Neil as secretary at its July 16, 2025 meeting.
Under the commission's rules, newly seated commissioners prompted an officer election at the start of the meeting. The roll-call votes were unanimous: Buckley received a unanimous vote for chair, Lewinis was elected vice chair and O'Neil was confirmed as secretary. The commission noted two members were absent for the meeting: Commissioners Overall and O'Neil (the latter participated by message indicating she wished to remain secretary) were out of town.
The commission's presiding officer thanked members for their confidence and noted the election will govern who runs future Planning Commission hearings and procedural duties. The appointments follow recent City Council actions that seated Elizabeth Molnar and Brian Homan to the commission.
No formal public comment or deliberation altered the officer elections. The commission proceeded to the next agenda items after voting.
