Planning and Community Development Director Nicole Dozier told commissioners the proposed structure would store holiday decorations and related materials and that the project requires a concrete slab. Dozier said the property is in Ward 2, about 0.6 acres, and staff found the variance met the ordinance criteria. Staff recommended approval.
No members of the public requested to speak. After a motion and second, commissioners voted in favor of the variance and the chair announced VAR-2025-11 approved.
The approval allows the Public Works Department to proceed with the slab and accessory structure plans, subject to normal permitting and compliance with city building and development standards.
