The action came after staff presented six draft work-plan goals covering neighborhood recognition, an asset list and recognition process, oral histories, public outreach and communications, walking tours and signage, and a centennial celebration in August. Vice Chair Hunter Copper moved to create the subcommittee and Chair Rivera seconded; the committee recorded the motion as approved.
The work plan aims to expand the committee's role beyond processing designation applications to include education, outreach and recognition.
