The Dickinson City Commission welcomed Katie Greenwood as the new deputy finance director at the July 15 meeting. Greenwood introduced herself as a Dickinson native and a CPA formerly with Southwest Water Authority with experience in governmental and utility accounting.
HR Director Nomenick delivered the monthly HR report, noting multiple vacancies across city departments: four police department openings (with interviews underway and at least one offer pending); four firefighter/paramedic openings with one paramedic vacancy remaining; two part-time firefighter openings (one hired, one in background); street department openings (two to three, with a recent resignation increasing need); one solid-waste operator opening; seasonal labor and utility operator openings; and staffing updates at Motor Vehicle Division and library positions. Nomenick said some positions have candidates in background checks and some hires have been made.
Commissioners thanked Greenwood for joining the finance team and had no further questions on the HR report at the meeting.
