- Set public-hearing dates for agenda items A through F on July 31 at 9 a.m. and set item G (a conditional-use request) for August 4 at 9 a.m.; the board clarified item G is a conditional-use application, not a nuisance consideration. Motions carried.
- Authorized the Emergency Operations Center director to execute a memorandum of acknowledgment for the Rankin County Disaster Recovery Facility to comply with EMPG grant requirements (backup location for federally declared disasters). Motion carried.
- Added an item to the agenda and then approved starting the public-process work for the Reservoir Fire Protection District (see separate article). Motion carried.
- Approved a motion related to a vendor payment raised in public comment; county minutes indicate staff arranged to have the vendor's check available the same day. Motion carried.
