Votes at a glance: Lander County passes personnel contracts, parcel maps, bond-cap transfer and other items

- Item 1.8 — Resolution 2025-10: transfer of Lander County's annual allocation of private activity bond cap, not to exceed $404,662.32, to Nevada Rural Housing (for its single-family homeownership program): approved by voice vote. Outcome: approved.

- Parcel maps and development agreements (items 1.9–1.15): a series of parcel maps and associated development agreements and conditions (curb/gutter/sidewalk/utility extensions, recording timelines) were presented and approved as read. What the approvals mean

- The long-term labor contracts (07/01/2025–06/30/2031) lock in multi-year terms for general employees and law enforcement associations and will inform payroll and budgeting timetables.

- The transfer of private activity bond cap to Nevada Rural Housing enables that agency to use the county’s federal bond allocation for rural homeownership financing programs; the resolution amount stated in the motion was not to exceed $404,662.32.

- Multiple parcel maps and development agreements formalize subdivision and infrastructure conditions for proposed residential development in the Battle Mountain area; conditions include required installation of curb, gutter, sidewalks, underground utilities and extensions of water/sewer/fire lines or negotiation of development agreements to address those conditions.
