The Columbus City Development Commission approved three additional items with relatively little discussion on July 10 and forwarded them to City Council with staff-recommended conditions.
- Case Z25-024 (Stelzer Road): A request for a new limited apartment residential district on a 14-acre site to allow up to 264 dwelling units and residential amenities. Staff recommended approval after the applicant submitted an updated site plan and a revised traffic access study dated July 3, 2025. The commission voted to forward the item to City Council with the revised commitments.
- Case Z25-02753 (Harmon Avenue): A rezoning to a manufacturing district for an existing warehouse parcel to allow equipment storage and related uses. Staff recommended approval citing compatibility with nearby manufacturing and industrial uses; the commission voted to recommend approval.
- Case (Gender Road, AR-3 request): A 3.96-acre rezoning to AR-3 planned unit development to allow multiunit residential development adjacent to a Columbus fire station and existing multiunit developments. The commission voted to recommend approval; the item was linked to an earlier council filing (CB24-168) that required the rezoning be completed as a condition of council action.
Each item will proceed to City Council for final legislative action and to any concurrent technical review required for variances, final site compliance, or infrastructure commitments.
