Motion by Chair Gibbs, seconded by Supervisor Pool, passed unanimously.
Request to use Public Finance Authority (PFA) conduit financing — project overview and referral to full board The committee reviewed a late request for consent to allow the Public Finance Authority to issue taxable conduit financing for a private developer’s rehabilitation and redevelopment project in Wausau and Rothschild (acquisition/renovation of multifamily/retail parcels downtown and refinancing/renovation of a hotel/waterpark in Rothschild). Staff emphasized the county would not be liable for debt service and would not bear financial obligation; PFA bonds would be taxable in this request.
