Revere Cultural Council elects new officers, affirms local grant priorities and timeline

The Revere Cultural Council on July 10 elected Rocky Graziano as chair, named a vice chair and secretary, and affirmed the council's local grant priorities and schedule for the upcoming Massachusetts Cultural Council funding cycle.

The council voted to accept a set of local priorities that give preference to proposals from Revere residents, projects benefitting underserved groups and youth, programs about local history, activities addressing local environmental issues, and live events from new applicants. Council members also approved the Mass Cultural Council application timeline: priority-setting by Aug. 28, 2025; the local application window opening Sept. 2; a financial-report deadline of Oct. 9; application close on Oct. 16; denial notifications due Dec. 31; and a final council report due Jan. 16, 2026. Rocky Graziano said the portal listed an approximate grant allocation of "$41,000," which he said would be discussed in more detail later.
