County to hold special workshop July 29 on draft Housing Action and Implementation Plan

Staff said the plan is not formally part of the Lake County 2050 general plan update, though it will run concurrently and provide targeted actions and prioritization to help the county secure funding and accelerate housing production. The planning department invited the commission to request a future briefing; commissioners signaled interest in receiving an update from the deputy county administrative officer in charge of housing.
Staff also announced internal promotions in the Community Development Department and said the county will add the parcel map outcome to a countywide zoning map update that is expected to proceed after the general plan work and that the map update will help flag B‑5 “frozen” overlays in permits tracking.
