The Coupeville Town Council unanimously approved the special events permit SSER25-019 and associated street closures for the 2025 Coupeville Arts & Crafts Festival and also approved June 2025 payroll and accounts-payable transactions during its July 1 meeting.
The motion to approve the festival permit and street closures was moved by Jackie and seconded by Mike. The staff memo described the festival footprint as the same as in prior years and noted new removable bollard sleeves being installed for events; staff said the town procured about 23 bollard sleeves to be used at multiple locations.
Melinda Erickson, president of the Coupeville Festival Association, told the council the event will continue to use barrier monitors and described vendor load-in arrangements. Council voted and the motion "passes unanimously," according to the meeting record.
Council then approved the June payroll electronic fund transfer and check numbers and the accounts-payable transactions. The council was presented totals for payroll ($152,382.25) and June accounts-payable ($232,719.47). A motion to approve payroll and AP was seconded by Jackie and recorded as passing unanimously.
No council member recorded opposition to either motion at the meeting.
