Sellersburg parks board reviews food-truck summer schedule, plans signage expense

Charlie Smith, park superintendent, reported three trucks attended the last event despite very hot weather, and that DJ Blue Suede provided background music. He listed vendors slated for the July 30 event — including Tequila & Mezcal, Birch Quality Provisions, Donut Envy, Barbecue Paradise and Patriot Pizza — and vendors planned for Aug. 27 such as First Quality Provisions, Spud Bank, Wings Homemade Ice Cream, Patriot Pizza and Bovis Nutrition. Smith said the parks team is considering extending the series into September and October.
The board agreed to an upcoming expense for yard signs like those used last year; the supervisor said the cost will appear on next month’s invoices. No formal action beyond discussion and budgeting direction was taken at the meeting.
