Sellersburg parks staff to update pool hours online after Thursday twilight listing missing

The Town of Sellersburg Parks Board directed staff to correct the public-facing pool schedule after a board member reported the town website omitted the Thursday twilight swim hours on its public listing.
Amy Palmer, the pool manager, told the board the website itself is up to date and shows Thursday twilight swim but map apps and third-party listings (Google/Apple Maps) sometimes display older information. “When people come into the pool, we show them the website,” Palmer said, noting the website lists twilight swim as Tuesday and Thursday, with weekday hours currently posted as Monday–Friday 11 a.m.–6 p.m. and twilight swim on Tuesdays until 9 p.m. when no party is scheduled.
Board members asked whether Google Map listings can be changed; staff said Google pulls data from its sources and can be slow to update, and that Apple Maps/other apps may show different information depending on the device. Charlie Smith said he has access to the website and will review and update the Thursday hours to match current summer hours.
No motion or formal vote was required for the website update; staff committed to review and correct the listings and to attempt to submit updates to third-party map services as appropriate.
