The Schenectady County Legislature on the evening in July 2025 adopted the operational budget for SUNY Schenectady County Community College for the period Sept. 1, 2025, through Aug. 31, 2026, approving $25,861,395 by a 15-0 roll-call vote.
The budget was the subject of a public hearing convened at the start of the meeting; no members of the public addressed the hearing on the community college budget, and the legislature moved from the hearing into committee and full-chamber consideration.
Legislative committees had reviewed the proposal in advance. At the full meeting the clerk read the resolution adopting the college budget and the legislature called the roll; the clerk recorded 15 ayes and 0 nays on resolution 99-25, which adopts the operational budget for the college for the 2025–26 fiscal year.
The adopted budget document listed the budget period as Sept. 1, 2025, to Aug. 31, 2026, and the numerical total of $25,861,395 was stated during committee presentation and repeated in the resolution language. The committee on rules had placed the resolution on the agenda earlier in the evening for consideration and reported it to the full legislature.
No formal amendments to the college budget were recorded on the public record during the meeting, and the roll call vote concluded the item as passed.
The legislature proceeded to other agenda items after the college budget vote; funding specifics and line-item allocations were not discussed in detail during the session record beyond the budget total and effective period.
