The Forney City Commission approved a final plat for Lots 1 through 5 in Block 4 of the Village at Gateway Addition, setting easements and enabling issuance of building permits for development in the Village at Gateway plan-development district.
Staff said the final plat covers property north of the Gateway bridge and U.S. Highway 80 in the area where a BJ’s discount warehouse is proposed. The plat establishes the boundaries and all easements for the five lots and was reviewed by the city’s engineering department, the fire marshal and planning staff. Staff recommended approval after finding no errors and concluding the plat complies with Texas local government code requirements for subdividing property.
No public hearing was needed for the action and commissioners voted to approve the final plat so the developer can pursue building permits.
