The board voted unanimously to approve the minutes of the June 2 meeting and to appoint Laurie Maughan (San Juan County) and Ted Curtis (Emery County) as nonvoting liaisons to the Grand County Airport Board.
A motion to appoint the two nonvoting members was made, seconded and passed with unanimous support from members present. The appointees agreed to serve, and the board asked staff to send contact and onboarding materials and ensure both have the required forms completed before a subsequent presentation to the county commission.
Separately, board members discussed a proposed change to the airport bylaws to reserve a seat for the airport’s fixed-base operator (FBO). Board members asked staff and the county attorney to draft language to add a reserved FBO seat or convert an at-large seat, and to bring the draft bylaw amendment back for discussion at a future meeting (board members noted any bylaw change would be subject to the county’s approval process).
