Commissioners approve payroll, bills, architect payment and accept road-construction bid

The Osage County Board of Commissioners approved several fiscal items during Tuesday's meeting.
Payroll and bills - The board approved the July 5, 2025 payroll in the amount of $712,685.19. A motion to approve was moved, seconded and passed. - The board approved county bills dated July 8, 2025, in the amount of $191,382.46. Motion passed.
Architect payment and PBC actions - The board opened the PBC (project bid committee) to consider a final invoice and approved payment to Goldberg Group Architects in the amount of $102,173.69. The PBC was recessed and closed in the course of the meeting, and the payment motion carried.
Asphalt bid - Commissioners accepted the recommended bid for 2025 asphalt work from Asphalt Construction (bid total recorded at $930,394.20). A motion to accept the bid was made, seconded and passed.
Personnel/payroll changes - The board approved a personnel status change for the Sheriff epartment: acceptance of resignation of Emily Hamm effective 07/03 and hiring of Mia Escalante effective 07/22; motion carried.
Procedural notes - Several motions were moved and seconded during the meeting with recorded ayes and the chair declared motions carried. Commissioners asked staff to record motions and prepare minutes for approval at the next meeting.
