Oakland County committee recommends SEMCOG representative to materials-management planning committee

Passienza, a planner with the Southeast Michigan Council of Governments (SEMCOG), told the committee she focuses on regional collaboration, stormwater management, water-quality improvements and circular-economy approaches to recycling and materials management. Passienza said she also serves on materials‑management committees in St. Clair and Monroe counties and expressed interest in supporting Oakland County’s planning work.
The committee approved the recommendation by voice vote; the clerk recorded the tally as 60 ayes and 0 nays. The committee’s recommendation will be forwarded to the full Board for final appointment.
