Kimberly, staff planner, described Project Lasso as a site-plan submittal for a vacant lot of about 13.82 acres in the Industrial General (IG) district north of Steam Plant Road; the proposal includes a 96,007-square-foot building (approximately 91,134 sf warehouse and 4,873 sf office) and an 8,750-square-foot three-sided shed and a lay-down area.
"They do need to have a privacy fence around the perimeter, so waiting on that information," Kimberly said, and noted the office portion must meet the brick-and-stone elevation requirement; the applicant said they would provide additional detail.
Brad Snyder of CSDG, representing the applicant, said staff comments are reasonable and the team would address them and resubmit next week. He confirmed the current owner intends to retain the railroad-track portion of the parcel.
No vote or final action was taken during the work session; staff said most outstanding comments are technical and can be addressed during the engineering and plan-review process.
