The Skagit County Board of Commissioners approved its consent agenda and several miscellaneous items during the July 7 session. The board passed the consent agenda (items 1–22) by voice vote and approved several individual miscellaneous agreements and amendments; recusals were recorded where appropriate.
Highlights:
- Consent agenda (items 1–22): Approved by voice vote; included interlocal agreements, vendor contracts and service agreements listed in the packet.
- Miscellaneous Agenda Item 1: Amendment No. 1 to the professional services agreement with Kimberly Horne and Associates and subconsultants (to complete the Skagit County periodic comprehensive plan update). The amendment extended contract performance through Dec. 31, 2025; compensation remains unchanged at a not-to-exceed $1,049,915. Commissioner Janicki recused from this vote.
- Miscellaneous Agenda Item 3: Personal services agreement with Community Action of Skagit County to provide diversion services for households at risk of homelessness; compensation not to exceed $131,778; Commissioner Janicki recused from this item due to an affiliation.
All motions related to the consent agenda and the listed miscellaneous items were moved, seconded and approved by voice vote. The board recorded one or more recusals where staff noted a conflict of interest; the motions passed with the remaining commissioners voting in favor.
