Resident reports erosion undermining Burma Road; commissioners direct road staff to investigate

"If somebody wants to come down there and look, we can I think what it's gonna take is an excavator to dig the north side of that bank out to figure out where it started," Kemp said, adding the work could require heavy equipment to locate inflow points.
A county official offered to connect Kemp with the road-superintendent and road-department staff for an on‑site inspection. The superintendent and road staff said they had previously visited the area and had placed the issue in an upcoming work plan. Commissioners confirmed the staff connection and encouraged follow-up with the resident to scope potential remediation.
No formal vote was recorded. The meeting record shows county staff agreed to coordinate field inspection and potential grading or re-channeling work to address the undermining and remove debris; the resident said he would work with staff to identify suitable excavation or fill options.
The matter remains operational: staff will evaluate the site, determine required equipment, and report back to the resident and the board.
