Assistant City Manager Miss Burrows told commissioners the ICIP “is a planning tool to establish priorities for anticipated infrastructure projects,” and that city staff had updated requests after meeting with departments and nonprofit partners and reviewing projects that already have funding.
The adopted ICIP lists the animal shelter as the top priority; Burrows said the project has $3,900,000 identified to date and that the shelter still needs “another 2.5 or so” million to complete the remainder of the project. Main Street road improvements between 1st and 8th streets were included on the ICIP with a staff-requested $1.5 million application pending but not guaranteed, Burrows said.
Parks improvements moved up on the priority list.…
