Bridal said neighbors had been overwhelmingly opposed and staff recommended disapproval to align with the comprehensive plan; Planning & Zoning recommended disapproval by a 7–0 vote with one abstention. Council agreed to postpone until the July 17 hearing to allow further discussion with the applicant.
