Committee approves minutes and amends staff hours; member thanks police and public works for Dunleith Day response

Later in the meeting Councilwoman Durham asked to amend the office hours of her assistant, Ken Hempel, from 7:30 a.m.–3:30 p.m. to 7:15 a.m.–3:15 p.m. A motion to amend the hours was seconded and approved by voice vote.
Councilman Street publicly thanked the police department and the Department of Public Works for their assistance during the Dunleith Day event, citing rapid police response to a threat and active participation by officers and additional trash collection by public works staff. “We had officers come out and not only protect everybody there, but they actively participated in the activities,” Street said.
The chair called for adjournment at the end of the meeting and the motion carried.
