The New Castle County Land Use Committee approved its minutes and handled small administrative business at the meeting.
The committee voted to approve the minutes at the start of the meeting (voice vote: “Aye”). Later in the meeting Councilwoman Durham asked to amend the office hours of her assistant, Ken Hempel, from 7:30 a.m.–3:30 p.m. to 7:15 a.m.–3:15 p.m. A motion to amend the hours was seconded and approved by voice vote.
Councilman Street publicly thanked the police department and the Department of Public Works for their assistance during the Dunleith Day event, citing rapid police response to a threat and active participation by officers and additional trash collection by public works staff. “We had officers come out and not only protect everybody there, but they actively participated in the activities,” Street said.
The chair called for adjournment at the end of the meeting and the motion carried.
