Council authorizes revised Adura task order not to exceed $80,050 to complete stormwater master plan

The Middleton City Council on July 2 authorized the mayor to execute a revised task order with consultant Adura for work on the city's stormwater master plan in an amount not to exceed $80,050.
Public Works Director Jason Van Gilder explained the change stems from a grant scope item that required CCTV inspection of storm sewer pipes; the CCTV work was not included in the task order previously approved by council. "We did [CCTV]... and I neglected to update the task order that I got approved by council. So the task order we approved by council did not exactly match the task order that was approved as part of the grant contract. I'm here to rectify that by asking for a revised task order to the consultant, for this work in this amount," Van Gilder said.
Councilors moved and seconded the authorization during the meeting and approved it by voice vote; the motion carried. The revised task order brings the consultant contract in line with the IDEQ grant conditions and allows the city to complete the planned CCTV inspections and the rest of the stormwater master plan scope.
Van Gilder said the CCTV work will focus on storm sewer pipe segments and that staff will coordinate locations and timing when the consultant mobilizes. Work under the task order will be subject to the city's purchasing and contracting rules and the IDEQ grant terms.
