Board directs staffing, engineering steps to stabilize Round Mountain and Tonopah landfill operations

Commissioners heard concerns about staffing distribution, scale installation, and service hours; Public Works said the Tonopah site will operate on a scale schedule and Round Mountain on a 4-day schedule with one operator. The board also accepted an engineering qualifications response and authorized the county manager to negotiate and execute a contract with SCS Engineers to support landfill engineering and consulting services.
