Lebanon board approves 2025-26 budget, janitorial contract and multiple policy items

The Lebanon School Board on June (date not specified) approved the district's balanced 2025-26 general fund budget and proposed salary schedules, accepted federal program budgets, approved a new janitorial services contract with ABM, and signed off on several compliance and personnel items.

Board members voted to adopt the proposed 2025-26 budget after hearing a presentation on revenues and expenditures. District staff said the budget includes nine additional positions and a 2% across-the-board raise for certified staff and a 2% increase for classified staff steps; it also proposes a $1,000 bonus for all employees funded from state-provided monies and supplemented by the board so that staff not covered by the state bonus would also receive payments. The district will absorb a 5% increase in health-insurance costs for next year; a speaker on the record said the district's employer premium share was 30%.
