Commissioners request Central Square demonstration for public works and finance modules

County IT and commissioners hosted a discovery call with Central Square representatives to assess whether the company’s enterprise asset management and financial products could replace or supplement the county’s current systems (PubWorks and other local tools).
Central Square representatives said their platform supports work-order management, service requests, fleet and facilities management, budgeting, procurement and analytics dashboards that can be tailored to county roles. Representatives explained the platform’s ability to dispatch, track and report on road work requests, to segment employee and citizen-facing notifications, and to integrate asset and finance data (for example, passing work-order costs into the general ledger).
Commissioners said their main interest is public-works functionality (tracking road complaints, work orders and project status) and requested a demonstration of the asset-management and public-works modules first; they also expressed interest in a later demonstration of HR/payroll and finance features. Central Square agreed to prepare a tailored demo and proposed Monday dates; commissioners suggested July 21 as a possible demonstration date. There was no procurement decision at the meeting; staff will schedule demonstrations, invite PubWorks and OpenGov (other potential vendors) to present in the coming weeks, and return with procurement options and cost estimates.
