Commissioner Muldrow swore in four new officers of the York City Police Department during a ceremony in which he described police work as "the toughest, most challenging, most difficult thing" recruits will face.
The recruits — Jacob Vega, Dylan Hall, Michael Cruz and Charles (Chuck) Dashnaw — were introduced by Captain Dan Lentz, who noted the hiring began with 49 applicants and that the screening process, including polygraph, written, physical, psychological and medical exams, produced the four new hires. "We had 49 people sign up... here we are at 4," Lentz said.
