After discussion, the board moved to waive the late submission and to accept New Hope’s proposal "subject to further review by the county attorney’s office and a determination by our staff should we approve this item at all," and to reconvene the selection committee the following week to consider the outstanding applications. Steven Alvarez, identified in the meeting as Executive Director of New Hope, told the board he had authority from his board to stand by the proposal and that other New Hope submissions were timely.
