Planning commission extends Grand Acres subdivision map for two years

The Oroville City Planning Commission unanimously approved a two-year extension to the tentative subdivision map for Grand Acres in the Thermolito area on Tuesday.
Brandon Mata, planning intern, told the commission the project’s original approval allowed 25 manufactured homes on roughly 8 acres and that subsequent action later authorized stick-built single-family homes under revised conditions. Mata said tentative subdivision maps are valid for three years and that extensions of up to six years are allowed; staff recommended a two-year extension in this case.
A commissioner moved to adopt the staff recommendation for a two-year extension; another commissioner seconded. Chair Jenkins called the roll; Commissioner Zilic voted yes and the motion passed unanimously with all present commissioners recorded in the affirmative.
No members of the public appeared to speak on the item, and no additional conditions were added. The extension preserves the existing tentative-map conditions while the applicant continues work toward a final map.
