County legal staff reported settlement discussions and mediation with the estate’s counsel and the county’s insurer resulted in a negotiated agreement that includes county and insurance payments; the county’s risk fund would contribute $1,000,000 toward the resolution and the remainder would be paid by insurance. - Vote: Adopted by roll call (unanimous).
