Board approves district Local Control and Accountability Plan and school plans for 2025–26

The Tahoe‑Truckee Unified School District board on June 25 approved the district’s Local Control and Accountability Plan for 2025–26 and the school plans for student achievement (SPSAs) that align site strategies with the LCAP and the district strategic plan.
Assistant Superintendent of Educational Services Sean Roderick presented the LCAP, citing Education Code section 52060’s annual requirement that districts align local plans with state priorities covering teacher qualifications, standards implementation, parental involvement, student achievement, engagement and school climate. Staff asked that the board authorize minor technical corrections that “do not change the intent or represent a substantial change to the program content” to secure county approval.
After brief board remarks noting the volume and complexity of the documents, a trustee moved to approve the LCAP with technical corrections; a second was recorded and the motion passed by voice vote.
Roderick then presented the 2025–26 school plans for student achievement (SPSAs), which site teams developed based on preliminary CAASPP results and LCAP alignment. Trustees thanked site staff and principals for the collaborative work. The board moved and voted to approve the SPSAs.
Both actions were presented as action items with opportunity for public comment; none was offered for these items.
