The Lindon City Planning Commission on June 24 unanimously approved an administrative subdivision plat amendment to consolidate two lots in Linden Treasury Plat G into a single parcel.
The commission approved the amendment for property identified in staff materials as the two lots on 110 South, creating a consolidated lot of about 46,000 square feet. Staff said the change is administrative and will not require a public hearing or council action.
Mike Florence, planning staff, told commissioners the applicant, Kevin Young, owns the two lots proposed for consolidation and intends to improve the backyard area. Florence said the final plat will need standard corrections and signatures before recordation and must comply with the Lindon City development manual and subdivision specifications.
The motion approved the applicant’s request with the conditions read into the record by staff, including: final engineering corrections with the city engineer, an updated final plat mylar with notarized signatures, obtaining signatures from all entities shown on the plat, and ensuring the plat meets applicable specifications in the Lindon City development manual and staff report. Commissioners voted in favor without discussion; the motion carried unanimously.
Because the item was processed administratively, staff said it will not advance to the city council for separate approval. Recording and any final plat corrections will take place before the plat is filed with the county recorder.
