Quincy City approved the transfer of an on-premise all-alcohol beverage restaurant license for the restaurant operating at 227 Parking Way, the hearing record shows.
The transfer petition, filed by RKOQ Inc. doing business as Royal Hot Pot Sushi KBBQ and Bar, moves the license presently held by Imperial Palace Inc. to the RKOQ corporate affiliate as part of an internal ownership reorganization intended to add new investors, applicants told the board. Attorney Joseph Wang and proposed manager Xu Yimay spoke on behalf of the applicant.
Applicants described the premises as a two-story restaurant with a total area of approximately 23,500 square feet; the main floor was cited as about 7,500 square feet and the lower level about 16,000 square feet, which the applicant said includes roughly 5,000 square feet of karaoke rooms and 3,500 square feet of function space. The applicant said the core restaurant operations and name will not change.
A board member moved to approve the transfer and a second was recorded. The board vocalized its approval. The transcript records no public opposition or conditions attached to the transfer during the hearing.
The hearing record lists the proposed manager as Xu Yimay and notes attorney Joseph Wang appeared for the applicant. The transcript does not include a roll-call vote or list enforcement or operational conditions beyond the transfer itself.
