Council retains multiple ordinances for July 28; schedules July 7 special meeting to consider additional papers

One paper, ordinance 20 25 0 32 (item 3), was continued to Sept. 8 at the patron's request. Item 11 (ordinance 20 25 1 20) was distributed for consideration at a July 7 special meeting; the administration said the special meeting would allow it to bring forward that paper and several others. The clerk and president noted the city currently had a single meeting scheduled for July (July 28), and a special meeting would enable the administration to accommodate additional items.
Other items were retained on the consent agenda, amended at previous meetings, or slated for amendment and consideration later in the evening (for example, ordinance 20 25 1 33 and resolution 20 25 r 23). Several standing committees recommended approval for the bulk of the remaining consent items; a few items were recommended for continuance by the Planning Commission or Governmental Operations Standing Committee.
The council confirmed the schedule and noted a quorum for subsequent proceedings. Members did not take legislative votes on the underlying ordinances during this docket-review portion; the meeting summary lists where items will next appear on the council calendar.
