Collierville accepts $240,000 CDBG award from Shelby County for West Street water improvements

Town engineer Dale Perryman described the award and noted the town will be responsible for any cost overruns beyond the $240,000 grant amount. Perryman said the town must follow CDBG bidding guidelines, will present bids for construction at a later date and that the grant is 100% reimbursable, meaning the town must pay invoices up front and be reimbursed after Shelby County processes them.
Perryman said the project is planned in the town—s FY 25–26 capital investment plan and that plans are roughly 80% complete, with a possible bid date in the fall or early winter. He also noted the town has received more than $7.2 million in CDBG funds from Shelby County over time and expressed appreciation for those awards.
